Chameleon
Habitat
Jackson chameleons are found in the forests and mountain thickets of Kenya and Tanzania. These particular chameleons have three horns on their head. In home they should be kept in an enclosure about two feet wide and two feet tall. The cage should be ventilated but kept humid. Chameleons only drink running water or water dripped on leaves. The leaves should be sprayed three to four times a day for the Jackson. An automatic fogger is recommended. The temperature of the habitat should be kept at a moderate 75 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. They should be provided with a UVA and UVB light for their necessary nutrients. The Jacksons are very touchy and are stressed easily so they should be kept at constant a temperature and humidity.
Diet
Jackson chameleons are insectivores. In the wild they naturally feed on spiders and other insects. I captivity they are supplied with crickets daily. Super worms are offered as treats. The chameleon eats only a handful of crickets a day.
