Habitat
Uromastyx lizards come from some of the hottest, driest, most barren parts of the world. They live mostly in northern Africa, the Middle East, and across south-central Asia. In captivity they should be kept at an extreme temperature of 110 to 120 degrees fahrenheit in their basking area. They also need a UV lighting for their vitamin D3. The lizard does not get too big so the enclosure only need to be a few feet long. A typical lizard in captivity should be kept in a hot but ventilated enclosure about two feet long. Too much heat can be harmful. The uromastxy is a fairly small lizard and are not hard to care for.
